EH! Magazine Photoshoot 2013

I was called for another photo-shoot recently.
It is for Eh! Magazine and unlike the previous photo-shoot that I did for Jelita magazine,
this time I was not alone. There were one bride and 6 bridesmaids, including me.
And this time it was not at a studio but at the Shangrila, Putrajaya instead.

Really felt out of place when I saw the other bridesmaids there,
they are so tall, skinny, pretty
and the model for the bride is stunningly beautiful.

I cannot recall who I was wearing but all the attires that they provided are really nice but then again,
I had to decline some of them like the skirts and sleeveless dress. No doubt, they are so elegant, with ruffles, layers and beads and I really admire them so much but they are something that I am not comfortable with. And I really appreciated the fact that the people there were okay with that.

And there were some attires which were meant for XS size only, and that is definitely not for me too.
(bila la nak kurus ni). So my involvement during the shooting was quite limited since I only took part in the shooting of 4 attires,  instead of 6-7 attires like the other girls.

 It was really tiring,
I was there from 9 am to 6 pm, shooting  indoors in the Presidential Suite,
as well as outdoor in the scorching hot sun.

But it is another new photo-shoot experience for me. The last photo-shoot that I went to was held at a studio, and there were just me, the make-up artist, photographer and that sweet akak, but this time there were so many people involved with different settings and props.

Putting that tired feeling aside , it was actually quite fun!

Almost the whole day there and thanked God,
I have my childhood best friend, Ili Liyana,
who accompanied me to the set and stayed with me till the end, teman makan, solat, and yes, GOSIP.

And glad to meet a familiar face too, Kak Izni, one of the busy people behind the photoshoot.
I worked with her for last year's Jelita magazine photo-shoot.
Lovely, sweet lady.

And now waiting for the cheque to arrive.

SmartKids Talent Quest @ SmartKids Education Fair 2013

I was at the PWTC for the Smartkids Education Fair last weekend to support
my precious little cousin, Atikah who took part in the Smartkids Talent Quest.

It was quite crowded there. There was a long queue at the entrance,
so to entertain ourselves we..snapped photos,
lots of them!!

We ran accros Ryan from HITZ.FM
entertaining the little ones at a booth.

Ryan entertaining the small, curious guests.
While mothers and sisters, including me, snapping his photos.

Amir won the Ninja Turtle gift box when he answered correctly
to a question posed by Ryan from Hitz.FM.

The stage where Atikah performed was on the second floor  so we had to take the escalator.

And again.. atas escalator pun ambik gambar.

As soon as we got off the escalator, I thought I saw Nabil (Raja Lawak) standing on a small stage.
I did not realize that I actually screamed, "Nabiiill"
and he responded by saying loudly through the mike
"Ha..sapa panggil nama saya tu?"
Was I really that loud?
I thought I was just whispering his name to myself!

Nabil was really funny and entertaining and
he managed to persuade my little cousin, Izzati to join him on stage.
She is normally very bubbly but I guessed she was too overwhelmed to see Nabil
that she became so timid.

Izaati with Nabil Raja Lawak on a mini stage.

Nabil gave her three free T-shirts and said
"ini untuk awak,
ini untuk mak awak dan
ini untuk masa depan awak"
and Izzati looked at him in a daze, 'blank face',
hahaha.

And we finally reached the stage.
My Atikah looked really cute in a nurse uniform.

Atikah waiting patiently for her turn to perform.

Atikah and her friends in action on stage.

Win or lose, I am very proud of her,
for being so confident, energetic and always have that sweet smile on her face!

And here are some of the other performances
by other groups.

 I like the part
when these girls shook their shoulders to the beat.

The only boys team
with a unique kompang and steps performance.

Awesome!

Putri Harbour, Johor Bharu

JB has been our kampung for the past 7 years,
apart from our original kampung in Alor Star and Kota Bharu.

We have not really explore JB entirely, but we do hop in and out once in awhile.
And last month during our balik kampung to JB, we visited Putri Harbour.

Putri Harbour Family Theme Park did seem appealing but we were in a rush
so we just stopped by at the public marina to enjoy the view.

The entrance

It is really beautiful here.
A good place to soothe one's mind.
Imagine reading your favourite novel while having a glass of ice-cold lemonade
or enjoying a cup of ice-cream here,
that would be absolutely perfect.

Taking a stroll along the promenade with the beautiful landscaped gardens is really therapeutic.
Boleh berangan banyak2 kat sini!

And they have such unique street furnitures,
you just feel like lazying around there.

My brother just cannot resist laying on that unique sculptured bench.
But I guess, he did not positioned his body correctly to fit the shape of the bench,
yeah, you know, typical Imran!

The scenic marina at night time (during Earth Hour 2013).

I think not many local visitors are aware of this beautiful place.
Even when I mentioned the place to a  Johorean friend,
she does not have a clue where this place is.
She is familiar with the Putri Harbour Theme park but not this beautiful public marina.

This place reminds me a bit of Sutera Harbour in Kota Kinabalu,
the beautiful marina resort that I wish to visit again one day.

I guess, later on, after all the development here is complete,
Putri Harbour could be as beautiful as Sutera Harbour too.
