Catching up

Had a fun time at TimeSquare.

A lot of laughter and hot and spicy gossips shared with my ex-secondary school mate from SEMASHUR. Used to laughed, cried and shared secrets with them for five wonderful years at our boarding school.

Miss them dearly!

We left school four years ago but whenever possible we tried to get together.

Asmy semester break rolls along, I am thinking about how to spend more time with myprecious little cousins. Sometimes I feel like I am running out of time, Imean, I am just a few years away from seeing them grow up. I guess, in another2 or 3 years, I cannot cuddle them anymore. I wish I could turn off the time’sfast forward button and play the time in slow motion so that I could spend more‘cute’ time with them.

One day, I am sure I will miss their spontaneous hugs and random kisses onthe cheek. Will sure miss hearing them say, “Sayaaang Kak Fatin” for no reason. Sure will yearnedfor that beautiful eyes to light up when they have something cheeky to say. Andwill definitely miss their cute giggles when I share a crush story with them. I guess when they grow up, we willstill share crush stories, but it will be theirs and not mine.

Anyway, meanwhile, I am going to enjoy this precious time singing their favorite song, dancing their move, watching their favorite movie and share their cute and cool stories.

In 2 weeks

I am counting the semester break, 2 weeks had passed and another 3 weeks to go.

Looking back, I have done quite a number of things these past 2 weeks apart from TVing, TWEETing, FBing, TEXTing, WHATSAPPing, BLOGging, ROADBLOCKing, etc.

- Enjoyed a movie with my dearest college friends Kash and Azie before
Kash headed back to her hometown in Sarawak for the break.

- Celebrated my birthday with my family at Fraser's Hill and had a blast there.

- Went to Karangkraf Carnival.
I was there not for the bazaar but to watch Aiman and Imran's basketball games which were held during the carnival.

-My family from Kelantan visited us. Great catching up time.

- Attended Art Class mainly for fabric painting. Loving it and will soon register for wood painting.

-Attended an engagement ceremony. And yeah, the favorite question from the aunties and uncles is,"when is your turn?". I bet all of you get that same 'soalan cepu mas' kan? Well, I wanted to be honest and say, 'Tiada Calon' but I don't think that would make them happy so I just gave them the sweetest smile I could come up with and wallah,
the aunties and uncles smiled back at me.
See? SMILE is the universal language understood by the whole world. It could mean a lot of different things. Whether the person knows the meaning or not, they will still smile back at you. Amazing kan?
So SMILE people!

-The Tie Dye Tshirts arrived at my online store. Very colorful indeed and sambutan..boleh tahan.

- Went to Subang Avenue to watch another basketball game. Imran joined the SBP Challenge.
See, I am an ardent fan and the official cheer leader for my brothers.

- Went for facial treatment. Mama said I had this TIRED face so she sent me to the SPA for a treatment.

-Started working on some pallazo pants and blouses for my store. A bit slow but not a bad progress at all. Can't wait to get my dearest friends to model the clothes for my store. Oh, I love photoshoot especially when I am the photographer!

-Spent some wonderful time with my precious cousins at Pantai Balok, Kuantan.
A fun day filled with laughter, songs, dances, sands, seashells, baby crabs and SUNBURN!!!

-Managed to book a booth at Plaza Alam Central for end of February. And waiting eagerly for a favorable answer from ChicPop/Market and UrbanScape regarding my application to join their upcoming events.
Ada rezeki, dapat lah, kalau tak dapat tak apa. No pressure at all!

-Managed to drag myself to the gym every other day.

-Had a great time with my primary school friends a.k.a neighbors, Syukriah who is heading back to Cairo next week. And oh, with dearest pharmacist friend, Fatimah who is always so busy mixing medice at the Hospital. Hardly had time to see her before this. Another great catching up time with lots of hot gossips.

Finally, I managed to spend time with my precious cousins, Atikah and Izzati again.

We made a day trip to Pantai Balok, Kuantan, Pahang during Maulidur Rasul's holiday.

It was a 3 hour journey but it sure did not feel that long since we had fun in the car singing
(we danced in the car too)
and also stopped by for meals at a few places.

My precious, Izzati, got all excited once we reached the beach.

She just can't wait to touch the water.

Atikah and Izati,
as usual,
brought much joy to everyone.

Even though the sun was right above our head,
it did not really bother us much because

the strong wind helped to reduce the temperature.

Have you ever realized that the beach is probably the only place

where you can get yourself and your clothes dirty without being scolded?

Yeah, play all you want and do whatever you want at the beach,

it spells

FREEDOM!

Our first attempt at getting a family photo was a bit chaotic because of the strong wind.

The camera just could not stood still.

It kept on rotating!

Second attempt!!!

Oh, I really love being at the beach, so calming and relaxing.

And with my precious little cousins with me,

what more could I asked for!

I just love this photo that I snapped on our way back.

It was taken just before we stopped for our maghrib prayers.

The trip was really fun and we definitely will have more outing such as this.

Oh, and I am planning to bring my little cousins to Taman Layang-layang soon.

I can guarantee that they will love it.

Sentimental Values

We decided to green our not so green, so called garden last Sunday.

Abah bought 15 new baby palm tress to screen our small compound.

We were sweating to the max in the hot weather,

(and I was hoping to burn some calories too heeee)

Well, we don't own a mansion, bungalow or semi-detach house.

Ours is just an intermediate link house.

But, ALHAMDULILLAH, it is cosy enough for our family.

And the small piece of land we have does not stop us from building a garden for our family to enjoy our afternoon tea outdoors once in a while when it is not too hot or to have a fun chit chat with friends whenever we have the chance.

Almost all the items in our garden have their own story and sentimental value.

The rattan display and those decorative vases (from Melaka and Johor ) in the garden are older than me and oh, those are actually wild ferns.

These dried flowers are actually fresh flowers that I received as gifts last year (together with teddy bears and smurfs), mostly during my graduation day. I hung them upside down to dry. I treasure every gifts I received and will keep them with me as long as I could.

Normally I keep all the gifts in my room but these dried flowers need a bit of sunlight

otherwise it will turn moldy.

Walaupun dah kering, bau dia still wangi semerbak.

This white trellis,

handmade by mama and abah in 1998.

There were two pieces of them originally but one is already broken.

That pair of Hallmark White Doves is actually a Musical Box.

It is a gift from Abah to Mama on her 21st birthday in 1986 when they where studying in USA.

That means it is now 26 years old and it still works. It plays "Endless Love".

The wooden duck on the cage came from Langkawi Island (1992)

and the labu sayong from Perak (2001).

The 1997 pelita minyak tanah still works. We have 2 of them in the garden.

The Red Heart shape cute basket came with Ferrero Rocher chocolates inside it.

It was a gift from a colleague to my mom in 1992 as a token of appreciation.

The batik hat is a gift from Kota Kinabalu and that pair of crafted tusk came from Malacca, 1991.

There is a story behind the pebbles. Abah was involved in a project in Hulu Selangor in 2001. When the contractor was excavating for the project, a lot of these pebbles were found underneath the earth. So Abah brought us there and we actually collected the pebbles and carry them in pails to salvage them..

I was just 10 years old then and my brothers were much younger. Just imagine how heavy those pails of pebbles were to us at that time but still it is worth all those sweats.

This wooden tall vase is hand made by Abah and decorated with real shells by Mama in 2002.

We collected the shells from Penang beaches. We still have a lot of these shells in the house.

My grandfather said he would love to take his afternoon nap in this small garden
once we put up better shades to cool down the temperature.

That would be so cute kan?

The bird's nest plant on the left was a gift from our next door neighbor.

It has tripled its size over the years.

We are very much looking forward to turf the lawn to have a greener look.
And abah is planning on working on a new wooden gate whenever he and the boys are free.
Kalau ada gazebo kat sini pun best jugak kan?

and we really treasure it very much.

I attended my first Art and Craft class today.

It was fabric painting session.

No numbers and counting for today. Yep, an accounting student going for art class, that's me!

These are some of the tools found on my work table.

Of course, I didn't use all those brushes, just a few of them.

My Sifu's place is really cute. Everything is painted beautifully including the stools that I sat on.

When I was painting,
a Korean lady stopped by and asked my Sifu if she could purchase the T-Shirt that I was working on.
Wah, baru tak sampai separuh siap dah ada orang nak beli, excited!!

Basically, we all know how to paint but believe me,

you need to be really patient working with the fabric.

My Sifu explained that the paint should not be too thick or too thin to obtain a nice painted design.
Kalau tebal sangat nanti pakai tak selesa and warna boleh merekah.

Everything has to be perfect, that is why hand painted items are so expansive.

At times, I was left alone to continue painting. Rasa macam duduk melukis kat kedai sendiri.

People passed by the cottage as I was painting and some of them stopped by to see what I was up to.

In between the painting process,

I had to use a hair dryer to dry the paint.

After almost 2 hours,

my first ever hand painted t-shirt is ready.

My Sifu gave me the design since I did not bring mine.

It is simple but it took 2 hours of patience to get it done and I am proud of myself.

These are some of the items found at the cottage.
That piece of wood on the left is an actual window frame from a kampong house.
My Sifu transformed it into a beautiful work of art.

Well, I definitely look forward for another class, probably wood painting.
And my Sifu also explained that he could paint cake as well.
Haaa itu lagi interesting.

21 years old.

Yes, I am officially 21 years old since today is my 21st birthday.

And the whole family decided to celebrate it at Fraser's Hill.

We had a fun time there but I was kind of a bit disappointed

since my precious little cousins could not join me.

Taking a stroll near the golf course.

It would be fun if I could have this walk with Izati and Atikah, my precious cousins.

I could imagined them hopping on the pavement.

Mama, Abah and my two brothers standing between Selangor and Pahang.

And like all our previous visits to Fraser's Hill,

we will never leave without having a dip in the waterfall.

The water was really cold even when the weather was hot.

Aiman and Imran having a blast!

Mama tried to look for a bakery there but could not find one

so she decided to buy the cake in Shah Alam.

Once we reached home and after our maghrib prayers, it was time to cut the cake.

And thanks to Aiman and Imran for choosing this big, beautiful cake with the number '21' engraved on it from Secret Recipe for me.

I was watching this romantic comedy movie on HBO last weekend and
the guy's explanation why he fell for the girl caught my attention::

1. I love the way herponytail swings from side to side when she walks

2. I love how fast shecan talk

3. I love the way shegives me a heart attack when she sneezes

4. I love herclumsiness

5. I love her boyish gigglesand laughter

Isn't that the cutest thing?
Falling for someone because of his/her characters that would last for life and
not because of his/her physical appearance that will fade with age.

And I like number 5 the most, very ordinarily extraordinary.

3 more final exam papers to go and I am free.

But that is not really the part that got me so excited. I have more exciting news than the freedom that awaits me. I just found out from my mom that she had contacted someone and she will be sending me to attend an art and craft workshop. Arts and Crafts!! I love them!

As a starter, I will get to attend fabric painting session and if I am good at it and still interested

(of course, certainly, absolutely, definitely, I AM!!),

she will
( probably, most likely, maybe)
send me again for other sessions: glass, porcelain etc. Awesome!!

And my mom says:

so after this, I presumed you will get creative and turn all the blank papers, canvas, wood, pebbles (and god forbid's, our wall) and everything around the house into something artistic.

Oh yeah, sure I definitely WILL, mother!!

I am looking forward for another family trip to the beach after my final exams.

I really love being at the beach especially the secluded ones
because I could have the beach to myself.

1st day of 2012

Today is the first day of 2012.

The whole family went shopping at MidValley in the morning and later in the afternoon mama decided to prepare Roti Jala for tea and I was really excited because she will teach me how to 'kirai the roti jala, yeeaayy!!

Mama said she will prepare the chicken curry and
let me have the honour of 'kirai-ing' the rest of the roti jala.
But after the first try, my excitement seemed to fade away!.

.First Attempt: arrrrggghhh

Second Attempt: aaaarrgghhh

I stood near the hot stove with the mixture and worked on the roti jala one after another.

Even though I used 2 stoves concurrently, it did not seem like the time had shorten at all. And the net or jala is supposed to be as fine as possible which make it more difficult to achieve.

But after a while, I realized I managed to kirai quite a lot of roti jala.

And finally,
tea is ready.

But frankly and honestly,
even though it tastes so delicious and the mixture is easily prepared, the 'kirai-ing' process make me think twice before deciding to prepare this roti jala myself again.
Now you know, I AM not that rajin after all.

Normally when mama taught me to prepare any dish, she always have a short cut and make every dish easy and fast to prepare. But, this dearest roti jala, there is no short cut but to keep on 'menjala'.

So bye, bye roti jala, it will be quite a while before we meet again in the kitchen!
But then again, I might change my mind.
Fickle minded me, as always!

And my little brother asked, "what's for dinner?"
Me: "Maggie, buat sendiri!!" (2012 resolution: to be a better sister, just FAILED)

Well, it is not that we did not take our final exams (which is approaching really soon) seriously but we just need a break after a long and hectic semester.

So last Wednesday we went for a movie marathon & Bowling at The Curve.

A good therapy indeed.

I joined a Pot Luck Picnic with my friends from

Sek. Men Sains Hulu Selangor (SEMASHUR 2004-2008)

at KLCC Park.

A fun outing indeed.

Yesterday was another public holiday.

And this time, we headed to my Grand Uncle's house in Bukit Jelutung, Shah Alam.

He just came back from his orchard & invited us to have a durian feast at his house.

Just look at these King of Fruits, dari jauh lagi dah terhidu keharumannya!

Yup, even with a full tummy (we just finished our breakfast), we managed to eat so many of these king!

And before we went home,

my Grand Uncle asked us to bring home some of the durians too!

So later in the evening,

I prepared bubur/pengat pulut durian and mama prepared cucur durian for tea.

After awhile, I left the kitchen to let the boys setup the table for tea.

Then I heard mama calling out my name from the kitchen.

Haha, actually I put the beras pulut inside the rice cooker and I forgot to push the 'cook' button.

So belum boleh makan lagi, kena tunggu Pulut masak pulok,

everybody woke up with a massive headache due to durians overdose.

We had to cancel our trip to Singapore since mama had a lot of assignments to finish before Christmas.

Haa, who says a Freelancer is FREE? At times, she seems busier than those Full Timers!

But we still managed to have fun.

We decided to visit Sunway Lagoon..AGAIN.

Everything looks the same except the atmosphere is a bit different because it is the day after Christmas!

This time, Mama skipped all the roller coaster rides.
Too tired I guess!

Then, off to the Water Park.

We had an awesome time there!

We even went on the same slide more than once, sanggup beratur balik tu!

It was Christmas Day and we decided to spend this beautiful day indoors,

And we repainted the house, for the 6th time! Our house had gone through white, light yellowish cream, mustard yellow, light maroon and greenish blue and today it is turning into Barley White! yummyzzz

Finally, I got myself a Dress Form a.k.a MANNEQUIN, yeay!

Mama find it to be a bit disturbing and said, "please keep that THING out of my sight". Okay, Mama will do. I'll keep it in the box all the time.

Oh, why do I need a mannequin?

To demonstrate fashions for my customers especially when I set up a booth, of course. I can display the clothes that I am selling & put some decorations as well. I could mix & match too.

And best of all I could use it for dress making. The mannequin that I bought is often called tailor's mannequin. So lepas ni boleh berlagak jadi fashion designer & design baju kat mannequin ni. And keep on berangan jadi fashion designer, yeay!

Okey, I'd better dismantle it now and keep it in the box and put it inside the store room, otherwise Mama will scream!

My handsome brother, Imran, was all smiles yesterday after receiving his PMR results. Alhamdulillah Straight As. Congrats, Ya, I am proud of you!

It is true that obtaining straight As does not guarantee a bright future. But after all their hard work they put to face the exam, let them celebrate & cherish this moment.Of course, there are more challenges waiting for them, SPM, COLLEGE, WORK LIFE & so on but for now let us appreciate their effort & be proud of them.

Don't ever discourage these kids by saying that their results do not mean anything. If they score high, congratulate them, if they did not obtain straight As, tell them that it is not the end of the world & encourage them to do better next time. But never, ever, tell them that all these are not important.

You have been there and at every step of your life, you want to celebrate your victory & if you fail, you always want to get up & try again. Same goes to them.

Anyway,

Congratulations to Sekolah Menengah Sains Hulu Selangor (SEMASHUR). Number 1 with 154 students out of 160 students obtained Straight As. I am proud to be an ex-SEMASHURIAN.

The crowd at the Red Carpet Bazaar was not as I expected. Luckily I brought along more baby stuff than I usually did. Baby clothes & accessories seem to be selling better than ladies apparel today.

I know I will not be very busy in the morning, so I brought along my FELT material and started working on a phone casing to sell at my next booth. And I managed to get a few done today before the crowd started to build up:

I had to leave early since I had to go back to college to finish my assignments for the presentation tomorrow. And I had no choice but to cancel my booth for tomorrow since I could not get anyone to help me man my booth while I attend my class. Mama is still working on her food article which is due tomorrow too so she can't help me. And other family members are busy too.

My brothers wanted to have pizza for dinner but mama was busy with her movie & songs assignments. So Kak Tin to the rescue!!

(Ceh sebenarnya, kak tin yg nak makan piza tu).

Okay, I am not in my rajin mode (dah lama tak berapa rajin sebenarnya) so I cheated a bit. I went and bought those ready made pizza crust. Actually, I don't mind preparing the dough myself like I normally do but I hate having to wait for the dough to rise. Kali ni nak cepat (excuses!, excuses!).

Nevertheless, I still prepare the sauce with minced beef myself.

And Tadaaa..it is ready to hit the oven!

Mama was a bit upset because she was not there to witness the boys' victory. She slept at 3am trying to finish her work so that she can join the boys but early in the morning her client from U.S asked her to do some urgent amendments, so she missed the game. Nevertheless, she tried to make it to my aerobic competition later in the afternoon.

Final Booth

Roadblock final booth for this year is next weekend:

Saturday & Sunday, 17th & 18th of December 2011 from 10am to 9pm.

This time it will be at the Christmas Bazaar, Red Carpet Avenue, Encorp Strand.

According to the organizer's flyers, apart from the bazaar, there will be song & dance performance, a cooking session by celebrity chefs, kids fun time section and many more. And the place will be decorated in Parisian splendour. There will be Starry Night Sculptures, Live Statues, Caricaturists, Santarinas On Wheels and more.

Hope to see you lovelies there!

It is a new place for me, I've never been there before. And this is the first time I'll be having my booth 2 days in a row, I can already imagine how tired I will be but I had no choice since the booth came in a package of 2 days, fixed!

Whatever it is, I am hoping for the best. And looking forward for a good vacation with the whole family towards end of this month.

P/s I'll miss my brother's game at bukit jalil tomorrow,..again since I have my aerobic competition on that same day. Good luck boys, nail it!

That's what mama said to me yesterday.

So this morning since I felt better, I brought my little cousins to SPACE U8 to watch Ombak Rindu. We had a good giggle & petty cries.

Budak2 ni kecik2 pun pandai tengok movie yang dramatik!

Bila ada part yang sweet, both my precious said 'aaawww' and bile part sedih sikit, they will cover their faces with their palms, comeeellll! And bila part gaduh2, both of them tried to hide under the seats sebab takut, kelakar betul!!!

Okey, next time boleh tengok movie dengan kak tin lagi ye, Tikah & Izati.

We shall share the tears & joy together ye!!

But as soon as we reached home, I didn't feel well again and had to go to the clinic again. And I was advised to rest at home and will have to visit the doctor again later in the evening for another nebulizer treatment.

So since I cannot do much and my cousins already left for Bangi, I started playing with my hair and came out with this:

And after another round of nebulizer treatment just now, I was too weak to go back to college so I decided to stay at home. Hopefully I will feel better tomorrow since I do not want to be on sick leave and had to skip class again like last Friday. After all, this coming week is another busy week. I even have a test this Saturday and once I am done with that I will try to catch the boys' basketball game at Bukit Jalil.

A Long Day

It was not a good day for me.

The day before, I was busy with assignments & busy with the booth preparations. I was tired and started coughing non-stop and lead to an asthma attack so mama brought me to the clinic and I was put on nebulizer. The last time I had an asthma attack was when I was 7 years old. Now after so many years it seems like it is paying me a visit again.

Mama was quick enough to cancel my booth at SPACE U8 for Sunday. She READS ME better than myself. However, I still wanted to keep my booth at RASTA and mama agreed.

So accompanied with some medicine, I attended my booth at Rasta, TTDI. The hot weather & outdoor atmosphere aggravated my coughing. And I was a bit sleepy due to the medicine. Nevertheless, I tried to put on a smiling & happy face to my dearest customers.

Knowing that I was not feeling well, my whole family was there to accompany me all the way from the beginning till the end.

And as usual, rain or shine,

no matter what happens,

my precious cousins will come and support me.

And when the Bazaar came to its end,

both of them followed me for some accessories shopping.

I bought myself a new stylish ring and a pair of earrings to match my leopard print blouse.

And my precious,

bought something for themselves too.

Before heading home, the whole family stopped by for maghrib prayers at the mosque in Subang Jaya. We had our late dinner there too. We finally reached home at 1130pm and both my precious were asleep on my lap, comeeel.

Mama advised me to take a good rest. She said,

why don’t you just be a college student for a while. Go to class, do your assignments, presentations, take your quizzes and test and whenever you are free, be kind to yourself and have some fun.

Yup, will do mama.

But before I take the much needed rest,

I need to sew this beautiful turban for my next booth,

make this beautiful pencil/phone cases with the felt material that I just bought

and sew a sample of this yellow blouse for the supplier

and then I have this...so what is it that I am supposed to do again mama?

2011 is almost over & there are lots of family plans that are still in our TO DO LIST for this year. We definitely will have to cancel some of them and probably bring them forward to next year.

It is a bit difficult to plan anything nowadays because our daily schedules do not tally with each other. My semester is different from Aiman & different from the school holidays. Aiman is on a month holiday now while mine will be in February next year.

But hopefully we can still complete some of the items in our TO DO LIST:

My family has been planning to watch the Olympic Qualifying Football Game between Malaysia& Syria. But since it will be on Wednesday & I have a lot of assignments to complete, we have to cancel the plan.

We have to cancel our Annual December trip to Singapore.

My parents made an arrangement for the whole family to join a River Cleanup Project but somehow the organizer keep on postponing the date.

Our adventure trip to FRIM is still pending. Abah wanted to show us some of the rare plant species found there.

And then, there is this white river rafting in Kampar, Perak that Abah is really excited about. But then again, with the weather now, it is not a good idea for such an activity.

We plan to repaint the whole house, I guess this is the only one that will definitely take place some time soon, probably after my booth at RASTA.

But then we still spend some quality family time together whenever possible.

I missed my brothers’ basket ball game at Berjaya Times Square last Saturday.

Nevertheless, I am very much looking forward to support them in their next game in December at Bukit Jalil. Hopefully, there is no class or module on that day that I have to attend to, otherwise, I'll miss it again.

I used to follow my brothers whenever they have basketball games or swimming competitions, I've travelled with my family to Penang, Melaka, Johor, and N. Sembilan just to support them & of course became their official photographer. But with my tight schedules right now, it is really hard to find some free time but I am still hoping to catch their next game.

I just love weddings. Well, who doesn’t?

After all it is a happy day for the newly wed and it is also a special time for the whole family to come together and catch up with each other.

There are moments during a wedding ceremony that you just cannot forget. The laughter that could be heard, the kompang, the silat performance, the love songs played during the ceremony, the lovely cakes, the handsome bridegroom, the stunning bride, the beautiful bridesmaids and the cute little girls who dress up like little princess.

Managed to catch the SEA GAMES Football last night with mama & my brothers. They fetched me at the college & we went for dinner at a restaurant in Section 13 and watched the match with the crowd there.

And yeay, Malaysia Menang!!!

Very proud of my Imaginary Boyfriend, the amazing national goal keeper.

And I was told that my brother's friend is competing in the SEA GAMES too. Once upon a time, my brother competed in the same heat with this talented swimmer in a local swimming competition. Congrats to this boy, he is now a professional swimmer and competing in the SEA games at the age of 15 and a medalist too.

And, oh, my brother's former swimming coach who is also our national swimmer, Foo Jian Beng, is also competing in the SEA games.

Athletes are so cool, kaann?

I do not really know what went wrong with Roadblock Fan Page.

Some friends said they did not receive updates and they do not see new photos being published at all in their News Feed even though they became Fans by clicking the LIKE button. They only knew about it when other friends Share The Link or commented on the photos. As a result, they miss the opportunity to view or order the items there before they were sold out.

Well, I am never an ‘IT Genius’ so I am so lost myself. Normally before I post any new clothes in Roadblock Album, I will update the Page with an upcoming Roadblock Status. But, they said they did not receive the status updates either. I haven’t got a clue, really.

It is a bit depressing knowing that you cannot reach out to your potential customers and knowing that there is nothing you can do about it. Nevertheless, I am still glad and happy having received compliments from my satisfied customers who managed to buy the items.

Oh, how I wish I could publish all the compliments, but, oh well, probably other people will not get as excited as I am reading those kind words. After all the hard work, I feel satisfied reading all the compliments and encouragements from friends/customers.

When they are happy, I am Happier.

Just to let you know,

Your kind words are never wasted.

They are encouragement for me to work harder.

I'll be going for the volleyball friendly match this coming weekend so abah bought me a new pair of sports shoes. And mama, Aiman & AMir will try to make it to UiTM, Perak to watch the game on Saturday. That is what my family normally does when one of us join any extracurricular activities. The whole family will try to be there no matter how far even for a friendly game.

And as for me, it has been a tiring week so I rewarded myself with a new pair of sandals. And later I decided to sew a new blouse to match the new sandal.

So I started working on the blouse and managed to get it done

in less than an hour. So proud of myself.

I was on my way to my sewing class yesterday, infact, I was already half way from Shah Alam heading towards Cheras, when a call came in. My sewing class was cancelled by the instructor because she has something urgent to attend to.

What laaaa... ??

The day before they called to confirm my attendance and I was so excited and looking forward to it and like half an hour before the class starts, they cancelled it.

And they said they will have the class next weekend. Such a great timing because I won't be around. I will be going for the Uitm volleyball match in Perak, Kedah & Perlis this weekend.

So, kena tunggu the next available class which is..errr..don't know when...

I am on a week Semester Break but hardly had any time for a rest.

Been really busy with my online shop, Roadblock.

Nasib baik mama tolong jugak.

Will be going to poslaju again tomorrow to mail the following skirts for orders received today & yesterday,

sabar ya, 2 , 3 hari lagi sampai la skirts ni depan pintu rumah anda.

And a few days ago, I accompanied mama to Ikea.

Mama bought these quilts for the boys.

On our way home we stopped by at a textile shop and bought some plain comfortable cotton fabric. I’ll be using these cotton fabrics to sew the quilt covers for the boys whenever I am free.

I am going on a date!

Yes, "A DATE"!!!

It will be a very exciting weekend. And it is even more special since I am going on a date with that special someone for two days in a row,

Will definitely be spending a real quality time together, apart from having fun, of course. We will be going to a special place in Cheras, jauh betul nak pergi dating. Takpa2 asalkan bahagia.

Okay, enough fun with that!! Hahaha

Okay, back to reality. Time to get serious!.

I wiIl be attending a Baju Kurung sewing workshop/class on Saturday & Sunday and I have to bring my dearest Mr. Sewing Machine along.

Actually I know more or less how to cut & sew the fabric for Baju Kurung but then again having a professional guidance would be good for my limited knowledge.

And I'd better make sure I could sew a nice Baju Kurung after attending the class since mama HAND SEWN 2 of her Baju Kurung when she was studying in California. That is a challenge for me, if mama can do it without attending a class and without using a machine, I should be able to do it better after attending the class and with a sewing machine,

that mama bought for me, of course.

My aim now is to have Modern Baju Kurung available at Roadblock Fashion Store for next year's Aidil Fitri and I already have a couple of designs in my mind. So I'll be sewing samples of these modern baju kurung for my supplier earlier to make sure she can deliver the stock before Ramadhan next year.

Working on something different for RoadBlock Fashion Store today. This time it is a blouse and there will be a few different prints for this simple yet comfortable design.

I wish I could sew all the dresses/blouses/skirts for the shop myself instead of just preparing the sample for the supplier but then again I do not have enough time to do all that. With all the assignments & exams how can I sew so many dresses/blouses/skirts at the same time.

But when you asked someone else to do things for you, they might not do it according to your schedule. So now after almost 1 month, I am still waiting for the new collections of maxi dresses & skirts to arrive. Hopefully they will be here soon.

Prayers answered.

It was a sunny day yesterday. No rain, not even a drizzle. Alhamdulillah. It was really a fun and enjoyable day. My convocation went well, no unwanted incident while I walked up the stage. (*at least not that I know of)

The best part was when I walked out of the hall and saw my parents, brothers, aunty, little cousins and friends waiting for me.

The feeling..PRICELESS.

Can't thanked them enough.

All in the family.

My little cousins waited patiently for me. Just look at their tan & burn faces.

Love you guys so much.

And being 'us',

we cannot just stay quite or sit still for too long. It is time to go crazy with the boys:

2 years of struggling in a Fast Track Diploma of Accountancy program and I finally have my diploma scroll.

Now I have to complete another 2 years of my degree program and insya'Allah, I'll be walking up the stage again to collect my degree scroll.

But gotta work hard and good luck to me for that.

Lazy Lunch

Came back home from class today (Ahad pun ada kelas, spoiled my weekend) and mama was in the kitchen. So tolong skit2 prepare lunch. Mama didn't have time to go for groceries shopping this week so she said we will just cook whatever we have. It is going to be a Quick Lazy Lunch.

1. Telur Kerutub (Kelantan dishes).

Biasa buat daging kerutub tapi mama nak cepat so malas nak guna pressure cooker to soften the meat,

so telur pun boleh.

2. Fried Sotong

This is Abah's favourite

Fresh Red Cili habis, so mama cakap guna dried cili pun boleh.

So that was what I used.

3. Ayam Goreng Tepung

We do not have enough Corn Flour, so as advised by mama, campur tepung gandum biasa pun boleh. This is the boys favourite. Semuanya licin, They never know the difference.

3. Deep fried prawns

This is MY favourite. Lukily we have all the ingredients. Perfect!

4. And panaskan sup semalam.

Maxi dress with Beautiful Prints: Coming Soon!

I finished sewing a sample maxi dress for my supplier 2 weeks ago. This time it is a maxi dress with colorful prints. I have quite a number of patterns for the fabric but I choose a leopard print for my sample maxi dress. I started working on the dress after my Maghrib prayers and managed to get it done in a few hours.

I made a mess as usual:

I will be sending this maxi dress to my supplier next week and really can't wait for the stock to arrive. This maxi dress can be worn by itself, cardigans or simply with a selendang on the shoulder.

Here are some of the materials that I am sending over to my supplier. They are high grade Jersey Fabric, very cool and comfortable to wear. I am sure once they are ready, all these will turn out to be beautiful maxi dresses.

We had a simple breakfast at home today, spaghetti carbonara:

Belanja the whole family makan lunch dekat Gardens.

Not that we run out of ideas but we are saving it for later. We have been teasing him with the same subject for the past 7 years so ideas never run dry.

And as expected mama said: we'll cook all these dishes at home next week.

Yeap, we better start deligating the work. Abah awal2 lagi dah cop nak masak mushroom soup. Actually Abah's mushroom soup is really tasty! Well, we gonna have fun in the kitchen preparing all these meals.

But then again, kena tunggu Imran balik la and that will be another 2 weeks. So we can all cook all these dishes together while teasing Imran...AGAIN!!

Still missing the moon.

A lot of things appear in front of my eyes but the good things are hard to come by.

When they do, I am not around. I have to be somewhere else or doing something else and miss it.

But when I am available to view or grab it, it will disappear in a blink.

Tak sempat buat chipsmore last weekend,

A Beautiful Moon appears Once in a Blue Moon

Last night, someone called and asked me to go outside and take a look at the beautiful moon. Well, it was rather late and I was feeling tired and sleepy (infact I was already asleep when I got the call), so I did not bother much about the moon. Afterall, I thought everybody in the house was already asleep so no way I was gonna go outside all by myself in the middle of the night.

Then this morning when I woke up, I found out that my mom and my brother, Aiman, were actually outside the house admiring the moon last night. Mama called me but since I did not answer, she did not try to wake me up.

I am not interested to know the scientific explanation how this phenomena happened. I am just amazed with God's creation and power,

And I am still mad at myself for missing this opportunity to witness such an amazing part of the solar system. It happened once in a blue moon and I missed it. Haiyah!

*mama showed me this photo from the internet how the moon looks like last night. She tried to snap a photo of it but it wasn't good enough. But even from the photo, I could just imagine how beautiful it must have been. And like mama said, you feel so small standing underneath the circle.

Yup, yup, exactly like those chipsmores.

They are sweets but if there happen to be too much chocolate chips it can be a bit bitter.

And I am starting to think that.. err.. mmm...can't seem to figure it out....I hate puzzles okay...well..just leave it as it is...

Woaaa, it is a bit scary when I can relate everything that is happening around me with FOOD!!! *mama, this is a good time for you to convince me that I am NORMAL, please say something...

Well, come to think of it, it is a good sign, it gives me an idea how to spend my weekend, yeah, I think I should bake chipsmore cookies instead, yes!! oh oh yes!! So to my dearest little brother: Kak tin tak jadi nak buli this week, but will keep that in my to do list, sabaq naaaa...

At least I know eventhough these cookies will disappear from my sight, they will still end-up with me, in my tummy, definitely for sure!!!

Bungy Jumping?

I was busy with my Roadblock booth and did not even have the time to take care of myself. And there is a price for all those negligence; I am getting cramps, headache and puffy eyes now. And all the college assignments that keep on piling add on to this tired face of mine.

I am so looking forward for the weekend so that I could just relax and have some fun provided that those ‘kind’ lecturers will stop giving us the assignments. Well, like that ever gonna happen, huh!

Desperately need to relax a bit, yes relax the mind and soul and most importantly, the heart, that has been beating in a weird pattern lately. Well, better get some exercise so that my body will be in sync with the rhythm of my heart.
